Playtest 1.7 (Alpha release)
Continued from the 1.6b balance patch for the official RA mod with release-20171014. The changes presented with 1.7 are based partially on a previously planned 1.6c and taking advantage of new ideas sprawling from the playing community, including values put forth by Smitty's playtesting for the official RA mod.

Vision increases across the board
- Infantry: All +1c0 (Dog +2c256)
- Vehicles: All +1c0/+1c256 (ChronoTank +2c0, MRJ +2c256, V2/Artillery unchanged)
- Aircraft: All +2c0
- Navy: Submarine, Missile Sub +4c0, Cruiser +2c256, Destroyer, +2c0, Transport +1c256, Gunboat +1c0
- Structures: Power Plants 5c0, Production buildings + Service Depot 6c0, Naval/SubPen 8c0
- Defensive Structures: All 7c256 (Tesla Coil 9c256, Heavy Turret 8c0)

Dog
- Health: 30HP, up from 18HP
Spy
- Cost: $400, down from $500
- Weapon range: 5c0, up from 2c512
British Spy
- Cost: $400, up from $250
- Weapon range: 4c0, up from 2c512
- Health: 50HP (25HP on Spy)
- Added veterancy: 1
Not the most radical change although the British Spy with its improved health (veterancy mostly for visual sake) makes it more of a threat to the opponent. The new pricing enables the Spy for all factions while giving England a better unit instead of a simple price cut. At any rate a small improvement upon the current system. The previous 2c512 weapons range was simply impractical and never used.
Tanya
- Added ability to swim. - Swim sequence and cody by SirCake
All vehicles
- Cloak detection range: 1c512 (+1 cell in all 8 directions)
As outlined further below the Phase Transport will have more wiggle room with a standardized and less bloated cloak detection with structures + a slight Phase Transport buff.
Ranger - IFV/Garrison code by Graion Dilach
- Gaining armament traits with various infantry garrisons:
Rifleman: Damage modifier for Ranger, +25%
Rocket Infantry: Rocket AG armament with damage modifier -40%
Medic/Mechanic: Heal/Repair with effect modifier, +50%
Sniper/Tanya: Sniper ability with reduced range, 10c0 -> 8c0
Spy/Dog: Detection ability (in addition to regular Ranger armament)
Grenadier/Flamer/Shock: Gain unit armament (Flamer with damage modifier, -25%)
Light Tank
- Damage: 30, up from 27
- Health: 240HP, up from 220HP
Basically 10% damage increase across the board. Currently the Light Tank is playtested in the community with various damage buffs however using a nice round figure Damage:30 makes for simpler calculations with the various armor types.
Artillery/V2
- Min. weapons range: 4c0, up from 3c0
Medium Tank
- Damage vs Heavy Armor: 140% up from 115%
Heavy/Mammoth Tank
- Damage vs Heavy Armor: 125% up from 115%
Mobile Gap Generator
- Available with Radar Dome
- Create Shroud: 7c256, up from 6c0
- Cost: $1100, down from $1200
- GAP effect toggable with 'deploy'.
Chrono Tank
- Chrono Distance: 14, up from 12
- Damage vs Heavy: 110%, up from 100%
- Damage vs None: 50%, up from 25%
Tesla Tank
- Damage: 85, down from 100
Mobile Radar Jammer
- Missile Jammer: 6c0, up from 5c0
Phase Transport
- Cloak detection range: 6c0, down from 7c0
- Cloak delay time: 175 (ca. 6 sec), down from 250 (ca. 9 sec)
Cloak detection change is intended to conform with the 6c0 detection range standards introduced with map playtest 1.6b and current official RA release.
MAD Tank
- Long-range seismic damage: 20c0
- Mid-range seismic damage: 12c0
- Detonation range: 7c256 (primarily eliminates Walls)
- Killed off with Iron Curtain (with future plans on getting IC to trigger Detonation)
Mammoth-KV-8 (New unit available only for Ukraine)
- Twin-barreled flame turrets, Anti-tank Tusk Missiles.
- Unique properties: 800HP, 63 speed.
- Strong vs infantry, buildings.
- Weak vs Heavy Armor, Air.
Vehicle husks
- Added DeathVision, range: 2c512, duration: 80 (ca. 5 seconds)
Mostly a visual improvement as with the recently added DeathVision for aircrafts. Only affects vehicles leaving behind a physical husk (e.g. Ore Truck, MCV, Medium Tank, etc.).
Vehicle transporting
- Passenger Weight: 3, up from 1 (see Naval Transport below)
MiG
- Health: HP 80, up from 70
- Ammo Pool: 4, down from 8
- Damage: 140, up from 70
- Increased reload time at Airstrip (128)
Chinooks
- Hovers on idle with Attack Move command.
Spy Plane Reveals 12c0, up from 10c0
Aircraft husks
- DeathVision duration: 80 up from 60
Missile Sub
- Inaccuracy: 1c512, down from 2c938
- Damage (Anti-Air): 16, up from 15 (increases likelihood of one-shooting air units)
Cruiser
- Range: 18c0, up from 16c0
- Inaccuracy: 2c512, down from 2c938
Transport
- Cargo: 15, up from 5 (5 vehicles, 15 infantry)
With vehicles taking up 3 slots and infantry 1 with the new 15 slots cargo capacity, infantry can be brought along more efficiently over water.
Radar Dome
- Cost: $1600, down from $1800
- Cloak detection range: 6c0, down from 10c0
Naval Yard/Sub Pen
- Added Submerged detection, range: 8c0
Brings a small advantage to the Allied player being dominated at sea which practically stands as check-mate once the opponent has control over the player's shore line.

Pillbox/Flame Turret
- Health: 350HP, down from 400HP
- Cloak detection range: 4c0, down from 6c0
Camo Pillbox
- Cost: $800, up from $700
The 350HP Pillbox/FlameTurret are killed off with two V2 shots and off course generally easier to deal with. The Camo Pillbox retaining its 400HP and it's 6c0 cloak detection range makes it worthwhile to jack the price back up to the pre-release1014 level.
