The Attacker role is responsible for determining how a Trust engages in battle.
See AutoEngageMode
An Attacker is able to engage a target during battle. When AutoEngageMode is set to Always, the Attacker will engage the party's target if the target is <= a specified number of yalms. You can edit the Engage Distance under Settings → Combat (by default, 30 yalms). This can be useful if you do not want to engage until the mob pulled by the party gets back to camp (in this case, set Engage Distance to 10 yalms).
Use the menu under Settings → Combat.
