I'm not sure what type of tests to add for this PR or whether they are required. Documentation was added, and additional documentation will be released here: ory/docs#1730 |
Ory supports two ways to run IAM - self-hosted or as a managed service. This PR adds a provider for the managed service and separates the managed provider and the self-hosted provider.

Hello @ThangHuuVu this is not stale, just waiting for a review - do you still want to add this tutorial to your documentation or should it be kept outside of nextauth? |
|
forgive the incessant pings @ThangHuuVu @balazsorban44 @ndom91 @iaincollins - any chance we can get this reopened and merged? |

Bump. Don't mind me, I'm just looking into using Ory with Auth.js and I stumbled on this PR. Any chance for this to get merged or maybe there is a new thread about this? |

☕️ Reasoning
Adds support for Ory.
Ory supports two ways to run IAM - self-hosted or as a managed service. This PR adds a provider for the managed service and separates the managed provider and the self-hosted provider.
We can optionally also deprecate the
OryHydraprovider as it is incorrectly named and replace it just with the Ory provider.🧢 Checklist
