Programmer vs Playback vs Live

Alex Ong edited this page May 3, 2018 · 3 revisions

There are three sections of the desk:

Playback

Pressing Next and Back will play a cue. Cues have the same 'precedence' as the Live section of the desk for determining output values. We use HTP (Highest takes precedence). That means if a cue has Channel 1 @ x, and the Channel 1 Slider is at y, the final output will be the higher of the values. To stop all cues, press the Release key.

Live

The live section is all the Sliders and their associated buttons. These take the same precedence as the playback area, with Highest value taking precedence.

Programmer

The keypad cluster with number-pad and associated buttons allow commands to be entered in. These commands have top priority when determining what signal is sent out. This means a channel programmed to value x will stay at value x regardless of the values outputted by Playback and Live. To release all programmed commands, hit the Clear key.

Precedence

If Programmer for a channel has a value, it overwrites all values.

If Programmer has no value, then the highest value out of Live and Playback is shown
