Dispense Mode

In Dispense Mode, the BeanCounter will use both of its sensors to count in both directions. This is handy for situations where you need to dispense a small number of parts such as when kitting or packing.

Getting into Dispense Mode

Press the "setup" button twice. You should see either "dIS" or "Inv" on the display. Pressing the "count/reset" button will toggle between the two modes. With "dIS" showing on the display, press the "setup" button again, to leave the setup menu.

Using Dispense Mode

In Dispense Mode, the count will increment while you feed the tape in one direction and decrement in the other. Either direction can be the direction of increment because BeanCounter displays the "absolute value" of the current count. Because of the way that this works, as the count approaches 0 in decrement, the BeanCounter will count through 0 and begin counting "up" in the other direction.
