As a community representative on the Advarra Central Institutional Biosafety Committee, I review gene therapy and recombinant DNA protocols to ensure adherence to biosafety standards and guidelines. My role involves evaluating risk assessments, monitoring ongoing research, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support responsible innovation in biotechnology. In my academic studies, I developed programming skills in Python and R, applying them to analyse large genomic and biological datasets and supporting genomics research projects. This background enables me to bridge the gap between policy and practice, facilitating effective communication between scientists, regulators, and the broader community.
