Description
Moving the version check API to a dedicated DNS cname on the ccr.xdmod.org domain. When we move the service to a new server we can just update the cname rather than having to maintain a webserver on a ccr.buffalo.edu domain.
Also expunged references to the old server and removed now incorrect comment - the mechanism for updating version numbers already exists in the release notes.
