Meeting 2024 11 18 (Service Provider Group)
Focus: Service Providers Group Meeting
Time: 10:00 - 12:00
Place: Online and Triform SA Lausanne
Coordination: Valentine Arrieta (Service Providers Group Co-Secretary) and Moritz Brennecke (Service Providers Group Co-Secretary)
Present: Valentine Arrieta (VA), Frederic Bonzon (FB), Moritz Brennecke (MB), Stefan Burckhardt (SB), Cyril Meder-Graf (CM), Gerard Sollberger (GS), Arnaud Poncet-Montanges (AP), Gabriela Mutu (GM), Batiste Chrétien (BC)
Topics:
MB will share the role of secretary with VA. He will be responsible for preparing meetings based on requests from other members of the group and for writing the report. He will also take part in board meetings. VA will still be in charge of certifications, of linking technical and user groups, and monitoring training.
These training sessions will only be available to TEKSImembers, at a frequency of half a day per year. The financial aspect has to be discussed at the next board meeting.
GS has volunteered to be responsible for these training sessions, which will take place in the form of a webinar. Coordination with the technical group will be necessary so they can deliver certain presentations. The following topics have been proposed: IT provider, server administration, module installation, and basic configuration.
Someone from the user group should take charge of organizing these training sessions, at a frequency of half a day per year per module and in coordination with Lucie Nicolier for the provider group.
Users will need to meet certain prerequisites:
1. have basic knowledge of QGIS
2. have completed VSA courses 2 and 3
The idea of setting up a help desk is currently on hold. It has been agreed that users should contact the providers when they encounter a problem, and the providers will escalate the issue via GitHub if necessary. However, a knowledge base could be set up later if needed.
FB needs to provide feedback regarding the crowdfunding campaign.
The Discord channel created to ask questions to the TEKSI community has been presented. Its use and availability to the general public through the website have not been deemed necessary at this time.
To ensure the quality of certified providers, a satisfaction survey could be submitted to users.
On the page presenting the Roadmap, the term "based on" should be replaced with "tested on" for better clarity.
