Dear Pinocchio Dev Team

I wish to use the pinocchio library as a part of FreeCAD Robotics Workbench for my Google Summer of Code 2026 project proposal, which is a program that promotes contribution to open source projects.
FreeCAD (https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD) is released under LGPL 2.1 licence, and someone suggested me to get in touch with the dev team to specifically ask for permission to use your library.
So please let me know if this is feasible or if there are some additional considerations ?

pinocchio is released under the BSD-2-Clause license, which is more permissive than FreeCAD LGPL 2.1 license, therefore you can use it in this project.
