Individual game releases

Here you can grab any of the listed games on their own.

To install any of them, simply extract the contents of the selected 7z file to the root of your SD card, merging it with the existing Roms, etc. folders.

Please note that Sonic Mania, Cannonball, and Resonance require additional commercial files to run. See their respective readme files inside their 7zip archives for further details.

Super Mario War

Extract this .zip file onto the root of your SD card.

Windows users should allow files to overwrite/replace.

Mac users should allow files to merge.

[UPDATED] Jazz Jackrabbit Port (OpenJazz)

An updated release of the Jazz Jackrabbit port using OpenJazz for the A30.

Changes:

• Updated Jazz Jackrabbit shareware to v1.3
• Changed name of data folder

This port contains Jazz Jackrabbit v1.3 and Holiday Hare '94 shareware files.
To play the full game, copy the full game files from the GOG release of Jazz Jackrabbit into the 'jazz' directory

Note: saving games has not been implemented in the latest stable version of OpenJazz, which this port uses: only loading of original save games has been implemented

Extract the zip onto the root of your SD card.

Jazz Jackrabbit Port (OpenJazz)

Download Jazz.Jackrabbit.zip and extract to the root of your SD card. This port contains Jazz Jackrabbit v1.1 and Holiday Hare shareware files. To play the full game, copy the full game files from Jazz Jackrabbit v1.1 into the jazz11 directory: these can be acquired from GOG.

Planet Merge by Psiroki

Drop celestial bodies (I cannot really say planets because Pluto is a dwarf planet, the Moon and Ganymede are satellites), when two of the same touch each other it upgrades to a larger body and points will be added. The game goes on until the playfield is filled.

Extract ‘planet_merge_a30_spruce.zip’ to the root of your SD card, boot it up.

Sonic Mania Fix

Standalone fix for Sonic Mania port. Copy the file sonicmania.launch into Roms/PORTS/sonicmania on your SD card after installing the v3.0.0 release.

Spruce Ports and Free Games v3.0.0

Here's a first release of our collection of ports and free games!

Multiple zips are included so that you can grab only the ones you care about. If you grab the "ALL Free Games and Ports" zip, you do not need to download any of the others! Same story for the "ALL Ports" zip - no need to grab the individual ports zips if you grab that one.

Please note as well that you will need to provide your own copies of sorr.dat for Streets of Rage Remake, as well as data.rsdk for Sonic Mania.

All other ports and games are ready to run! Simply merge the Roms, Emu, BIOS, and/or RetroArch folders from your downloaded free games zips with the ones already present in your existing spruce installation.
