What started as a personal project to keep my own family—my wife and our two kids—on track with their daily routines has evolved into ChoreOps: a professional-grade household task and routine manager for Home Assistant.

Coming from a career of developing and managing global enterprise IT resources, I couldn't just build a simple script. I brought those same rigorous standards and top-notch documentation practices to this project. I have poured hundreds of hours—along with out-of-pocket costs for premium developer tooling—into completely rebuilding and hard-forking this codebase to create a seamless, reliable experience.

ChoreOps now features a rock-solid Python backend handling everything from rotation logic to complex gamification (badges, achievements, and points), paired with a completely decoupled, "Over-The-Air" dashboard rendering engine so you can get beautiful UI updates without ever restarting Home Assistant.
