Contemply turns your boring old templates and project scaffolds into interactive code generators.
Template contents and all the information necessary to process them are kept in a single file. Contemply's storage allows you to easily access your templates on your computer or in your network.
What else can it do?
- Different ways to prompt your users for input
- Create different files and folders from one template
- Add your own functions using extensions
If you want to integrate code generation into you own project, you can use the Contemply library, see developer docs for more details.
Help by creating an issue on GitHub for bugs or feature requests. Contributors are always welcome!
The easiest way to install Contemply is using pip:
pip install contemply
#% Create a nice textfile to say hello!
#::
name = ask('Who do you want to say hello to?')
>> 'greeting.txt'
-> 'Hello $name!'
<<
Save it as demo.pytpl.
contemply run demo.pytpl
