PenPRS - v0.0.1

First official release of penprs, a Python package for penalized regression inference of polygenic risk scores (PRS) using linkage disequilibrium (LD) and GWAS summary statistics.

What's included:

• Implementation of core models: LASSO, SSL (Spike-and-slab LASSO PRS), and SSLAlpha (alpha-heritability SSL model)
• Integration with magenpy for data harmonization and LD computations
• Command-line interface (penprs_fit) support
• README contains a "Getting started" section. For additional details on the models and algorithms, refer to associated paper linked in the README.

Notes & Future work:

• Future updates will add new models, enhancements to performance, and richer documentation.
• Feedback, bug reports, and contributions are warmly welcomed!
