BayHunter: A Bayesian approach to inferring the differential expression of small RNAs from read counts.
BayHunter has been developed to enable the use of different models for read count distributions. As the successor to MERDE, it provides adaptations for small RNAs. The gamma distribution is therefore the default read count distribution used. BayHunter allows the 5' and 3' ends of small RNAs to be analyzed separately. Finally, it supports the inspection of edit changes. An interactive web app is provided to view results as they are generated. Alternatively, users can use classic command line apps.
The BayHunter tool is currently under development and will be published here shortly.
