🚨 Severity: CRITICAL
💡 Vulnerability: Hardcoded default credentials and encryption keys in multiple configuration files (Dockerfile, docker-compose.yml, configuration.properties, application-docker.properties).
🎯 Impact: If these default values are not changed by the operator, an attacker could gain unauthorized access to the database or decrypt sensitive system data. Baking these into the Dockerfile also risks leaking them into image registries.
🔧 Fix: Removed all default/fallback values (like changeme) for sensitive variables. The application now follows the "fail securely" principle, requiring explicit configuration through environment variables.
✅ Verification: Verified that all sensitive defaults were removed and that docker-compose.yml correctly passes the required variables to the container. Manually inspected files after modification. (Note: mvn test is currently failing in the environment due to missing GITHUB_TOKEN for a private dependency, which is unrelated to these changes).
