I think we should really monitor performance when this rolls out. I did test this in development but it's very hard to see differences in performance which is what I'm hoping this improves.
Just a note that the docs are slightly outdated and Hiredis will be used by default if it is installed: https://github.com/jazzband/django-redis?tab=readme-ov-file#pluggable-parsers
