Precise.ly maintains a separation between user identity and health data. This is done using three separate data stores, Cognito for user identity (the identity store), Dynamo for personal health and other data (the health data store or data store) and Postgres to map Cognito ids to ids used in the health data store (the identity map).

Report content is currently managed in Github by a team of curators. Reports are uploaded into the API using a report-uploader script. Reports are written using a combination of Markdown and custom XML-like tags.
