lavalink-hosting provides free, high-performance Lavalink nodes. These are servers that help music bots stream audio from many sources. It supports over 30 audio platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and Deezer. The service offers a strong 10Gbps network and has servers in four global locations: India, USA, Singapore, and Europe.
The goal is to keep your music bots running smoothly with no downtime. This is a public service, designed to be easy to use and fully free.
Before setting up, make sure you have the following on your Windows machine:
- Windows 10 or newer (64-bit recommended)
- At least 4 GB of free RAM
- Minimum 500 MB of free disk space
- Stable internet connection (preferably 10 Mbps or higher)
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 11 or higher installed

If you want to use lavalink-hosting, follow these steps carefully. They require no coding knowledge.

Find the latest release:
On the GitHub page, click on the Releases section on the right or scroll down to find the latest stable version. -
Download the Windows version:
Look for a file with a.exeor.zipextension for Windows. If you see.zip, download and extract it using the built-in Windows extractor or a tool like 7-Zip. -
Make sure Java is installed:
- Press Windows Key + R, type
cmd, and press Enter. - In the Command Prompt window, type
java -versionand press Enter. - If a version number appears (e.g., "openjdk version 11.0"), Java is installed.
- If a message says "java is not recognized", you need to install Java first.

Install Java if needed:

- Download the recommended Java Runtime (JRE) version for Windows.
- Run the installer and follow the instructions.

Run the Lavalink Hosting software:
- Double-click the downloaded
.exefile or open the extracted folder and double-click the Lavalink file inside. - A command window should open, showing the server starting up.
- Wait a moment until it displays a message saying it is ready.

lavalink-hosting works by providing nodes your music bot connects to. If you use popular music bots like Discord bots, you'll enter your bot’s config the address and port of the Lavalink node.
Common steps to connect:
- Use the IP or hostname of the node provided by lavalink-hosting.
- Use the secret password (usually given in the README or config file).
- Set the port (usually 2333).
You don't need to run or maintain the node manually once connected.
lavalink-hosting can stream audio from many platforms:

This allows you to play a wide range of audio content from one service.
lavalink-hosting nodes come with default settings optimized for common bots. Advanced users can adjust configuration files, but this is optional for most.

- Port: Default is 2333. Change only if necessary.
- Password: A secure key that your bot uses to connect. Keep it safe.
- Regions: Choose from USA, India, Singapore, or Europe for best speed.
You can find these settings in a file called application.yml inside the Lavalink folder.

- Check if Java is installed and up to date.
- Make sure the port 2333 is not blocked by your firewall.
- Restart the application if it freezes or doesn’t respond.
- Verify your music bot settings match the Lavalink config (address, port, and password).
- Check your internet connection for stability.

- Go back to the download page.
- Download the latest release as before.
- Stop your running Lavalink server by closing the command window.
