Data lost when saving entity

Updating an entity with something like:

$category = new Category;
$category->bind(['id' => 23, 'title' => 'My Category', 'extension' => 'com_content']);
$category->save();

Was overwriting any data already saved in Category 23. Now all the entities load previous data before saving them with the new data.
