- Github - active and new projects are being added
- Google Code - good resource but closing and existing projects will (hopefully) move before Jan 2015
- SourceForge - Massive resource, but some projects have migrated to Bitbucket and GitHub. As of 2015 has diminished in stature & reputation.
- BitBucket - good resource
- CodePlex - formerly active, now readonly and for archive purposes only
When using Google to search for projects the following verbs are helpful;
