The @jeffwyeh fork that @lukefor "mined" for windows_nvme support also includes some code to support SAS drives (see commit a8c2a88 ). Without a SAS drive to test, this probably shouldn't be added, but if there's ever going to be a One True Tree then someone should consider vetting and integrating this code.
