Week 3: April 20 - April 26

Am I blocked?

No, I am not blocked as I was clear on what I need to investigate for the project and how I can look for answers.

What I did

#3 I investigated what database type we should use for our app development. We ended up choosing MongoDB.
#9 I also wrote description, and user story of Welcome Search Engine, which is one of our three MVP features.

What I plan to do next week

I plan to start thinking on the basic structure of data to be stored in the database. Although local storage database is our free option to store data, I would also like to create a spike to research on free cloud database hosting solutions that offers sufficient number of data transactions.

No, I am not blocked as I was clear on the features I need to work on and how to implement them

As this is my first time working on database, I couldn't figure out how to connect backend to the database. But after hours of googling, I was able to finish my work items for this week.

• No, I was able to finish my work items

I'll work with my teammate to connect search engine part with the map so that map doesn't need to query data from database but just render the data from the search list entries.

• I wasn't blocked as I knew exactly what was needed to be done. However, as I was focusing on small details on my part, I might have blocked my teammates' work.

I'll work on adding "Add to Plan" button on each searchlist component. I'll also work on fixing bugs and writing test cases.

• Yes, I was blocked for a long time because I couldn't figure out react life cycles for passing states to child components.
