Security updates are applied to the current default branch (e.g. main). There is no formal versioning yet; use the latest commit from the default branch.

If you discover a security issue (e.g. credential handling, unsafe use of SSH/SCP, or dependency vulnerability), please report it privately:

What to expect:

• We will acknowledge receipt within a few days.
• We will discuss the issue and possible fixes with you before any public disclosure.
• If the report is accepted, we will work on a fix and coordinate disclosure. Credit will be given unless you prefer to remain anonymous.
• If the report is declined, we will explain why. You may still disclose after a reasonable period if you follow responsible disclosure practices.

Please do not open a public issue for security vulnerabilities.
