What’s New in Shade
This release brings major upgrades to both quality and speed.
Shade now includes a new Detailed Mode powered by segmentation, using a model trained specifically for this use case. This enables more precise masking compared to the previous box-based approach, especially around object boundaries.
Detection is also now more than 4x faster than previous versions. The model architecture was updated to better fit mobile GPU execution, which significantly improves real-time performance on-device.
In addition to speed improvements, model quality has improved as well, resulting in better detection accuracy in everyday usage.
