Blood Magic ❤️‍🩹

This update brings a new casting system and spells to Voodoo. Unfortunately, Blood Magic is considered a dark art by the townsfolk and they do not take kindly to Voodoo casters partaking in such foul practices. You will not find any details regarding Blood Magic in the public archives. But rumour has it that there is a secret cult operating in the shadows that take in and train those that have shown an interest in Blood Magic...

Features

Gesture-based spell preparation

To prepare a Blood Magic spell, you must tap into the power of a heartfruit. Speaking an ancient tongue, you must activate several Blood Conduits using your hands.

Heart-based spell cost

You do not pay for Blood Magic spells with mundane items, but rather your own life force! When preparing and casting you will be reducing your current health and/or permanent health.

Conjuring a heartfruit

Finding a wild heartfruit can be time-consuming, so Voodoo now lets you conjure one (if you know the incantations). Conjuring a heartfruit does not require the presence of a nearby Spellcrafting Conduit, so you can perform your dodgy cultist magic tricks in private.
