This works to select e.g. objects with a list of patches. Could also work to select objects with a set of exact float values e.g. Sersic index=0.5, 1, 4, etc.
This should prevent most label crowding even in publicationStyle plots.
This makes the dashed line legend entry show two dashes instead of just one.
