"Unleash Your Imgnxtion"

/ɡro͞op/

noun

noun: group; plural noun: groups

a number of people or things that are located close together or are considered or classed together.

"these bodies fall into four distinct groups"

Similar:

category, class, classification, grouping, set, lot, batch, bracket, type, sort, kind, variety, family, species, genus, breed, style, grade, grading, rank, status, crowd, band, company, party, body, gathering, congregation, assembly, collection, cluster, flock, pack, troop, gang, bunch

The letter "G" stands for "Group". It applies to things like a "group" of tabs, a list of files, a "directory", a "folder", a "table", a "Grid" (if you will...) a spreadsheet, etc. It's essentially a list of things that have some common trait.

You will often see the key CTRL associated with Groups.

ie.

cmd + ctrl + o

Move a Group of Editors into a new window.

Since the Group is moved using CTRL (fast) or G (slow), the Individual is moved using ALT (fast) or I (slow).

cmd + alt + o

Move an Individual Editor into a new window.

Since the Individual is moved using ALT (fast) or I (slow), the Group is moved using CTRL (fast) or G (slow).
