Hey, thank you so much for this PR. This is something we have been talking about internally for a while now as the location is really relevant for the carbon accounting. I know that @davidkopp is currently working on adding this to the GMT. Also @ArneTR is involved in the planning.

I think the main question is: "Shall we ask for the Location while installation and then derive the timezone from that?"

Also I think we might want to think about setting the timezone for the runs so that the frontend will show the right time information and not always Berlin time.

Hey @Lisi4ka59

I also wanted to chip in here with a feedback as I believe @ribalba has mixed up some feedback here. Frontend timezones are already shown in local time of the user.

Since you did not put any description in the PR my feedback includes some assumptions :)

I have linked an issue that we had open for this functionality. I believe your PR is related to that?
If so: How you feel about adding timezone information also to the other containers?

Or have you created the PR for a different functionality that you needed in the tool?
If so: Could you elaborate a bit what kind of features where needed or what kind of issues you ran into?

Hello @ArneTR, I'm sorry I don't provide a description. Yes, this PR is for the issue #1234. I updated the installation script to prompt the user for a timezone and configure it both as an environment variable for the PostgreSQL container and within the PostgreSQL instance. I setup the Green Metrics Tool as described in the DEVELOPMENT.md, and I only found one container. Which other containers are you referring to?

GMT should have the option to set a timezone for the database and all the containers
