Wikipedia Speed-runs is act of speed-running (reaching something as fast as possible) between articles only via hyperlinks on the page. A player is tasked with navigating from one article to another article only via hyperlinks on the page. wikiLYNX is a browser app made to play the game the right way that is, by honoring basic rules of the game.
wikiLYNX is designed to play this game as a level-based game. You have to clear each checkpoints/wiki-pages one by one to finish the game. Each level can have a time limit and click limit. Clicks denotes the path length. The game ships with some default levels to help you get started in the game. You can also play random generated levels or create your own custom levels in settings.
Three college students studying Engineering at a college in Ernakulam, depressed by the daily cup of existential crisis in Engineering life, decided to host a gaming event. We decided to host the event after we ourselves realized the fun of playing this game. However playing this game on a browser for competitive gaming is not ideal as it always creates opportunities for someone to exploit and find loopholes. To fulfill the need to play the game with minimal exploits (exploits are always possible), we decided to develop a simple game browser. We chose Qt C++ for development for its flexibility, multi-platform compatibility and ease of development. After the event was successfully hosted though not without chaos, we decided to release the app to the public.
wikiLYNX is currently available on Windows and Linux.

wikiLYNX can be ported to macOS, however has not been done due to my busy schedule. One who is interested in seeing wikiLYNX on macOS can open a pull request or an issue or mail me.
