Installation procedure

General Instructions (Required)

  1. Go to Cascadia Motion's download page (https://www.cascadiamotion.com/documents)
  2. Click "General Link to All Files"
  3. Open "02 Tools" folder
  4. Install "RMS GUI", "C2000Prog", and "RealTerm" folders (right cick and press "Download")
  5. Unzip each folder (right click each folder and click "Extract all")

Install RMS GUI (Required)

  1. Open "RMS GUI" and its subfolder "RMS GUI"
  2. Run the installer (double click "gtk+-2.8.9-setup-1.exe")
  3. Only the base version is necesary
  4. A restart is necessary before RMS GUI will work

Install C2 Prog (Optional)

  1. Open "C2000Prog" and its subfolder "C2000Prog"
  2. Unzip the subfolder "C2Prog_v1.7e-b5721.zip"
  3. Run the installer ("setup.exe")
  4. If Windows defender pops up, click "More info" and then "Run anyway"

Install RealTerm (Optional)

  1. Open "RealTerm" and its subfolder "RealTerm"
  2. Run the installer ("Realterm_2.0.0.57_setup.exe")
  3. Before the last page, deselect "register RealTerm automation server" and "Show Readme"

Install Erich's Dashboard (Optional)

  1. Go to the repository (https://github.com/erichbahm/PM100DX_Dashboard)
  2. If you are familiar with git: clone the repository
  3. If you haven't used git before, click "Code" and "Download ZIP"
  4. After extracting the zip, you can run the python file (main.py) to view live output graphs

If you run into issues launching the RMS GUI app, or C2Prog, download the latest version of Java: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/jdk17-archive-downloads.html
