Steps to Run Kibana locally with docker
- You should have docker installed and running
- Open terminal
- Creat new network for docker and kibana
RUN -> docker network create elastic
- Start elasic in Docker
RUN -> docker run --name es01 --net elastic -p 9200:9200 -p 9300:9300 -it docker.elastic.co/elasticsearch/elasticsearch:8.1.3
- This will create all configurations and user elastic by default
- From the logs on terminal copy password for the user and token, enrollment key is needed when you run kibana
- Open another terminal
- Run kibana
RUN-> docker run --name kib-01 --net elastic -p 5601:5601 docker.elastic.co/kibana/kibana:8.1.3
- At the end you would see url which will be used for running kibana dashboard on UI, copy and paste it on the brower
- On browser, username and enrollment key/token will be asked.
- username will be elasic and past enrollment token
- Play with kibana
