| Plugin | What it does | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| PCB Trace Length Analyzer | Length matching for DDR, Ethernet, USB, PCIe, MIPI and SD on the board open in the PCB Editor: which nets are too short or too long and by how much, and selecting them in KiCad. Runs locally; nothing is uploaded. | KiCad 10.0.1+, with Preferences → Plugins → Enable KiCad API on |
| EMI Analyzer | EMI and EMC review of the board open in the PCB Editor: layout causes of radiated emissions, ESD and immunity checks, and a cable budget. Click a finding to select its net in KiCad. A front end for the EMI Analyzer desktop app, which runs everything on your computer. | KiCad 10.0.1+, with Preferences → Plugins → Enable KiCad API on, and the EMI Analyzer app 0.2.0 or newer |
Each plugin's first run installs PySide6 with QtWebEngine into its own Python environment, a download of several hundred MB. Its toolbar buttons appear in the PCB Editor after that.

- Here: Actions → Release PCB Trace Length Analyzer (or Release EMI Analyzer) → Run workflow. Enter the version, and turn publish on. With publish off it only builds and tests, and keeps the archive as a workflow artifact.
The workflows build from a clean checkout of the source, run the tests and KiCad's package validator, upload the archive as a release, check the uploaded file's hash, and only then commit the repository files.
