About The Project

Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.

Installation

NuGet

This library is in early development and not published to NuGet. Development builds are based on master and deployed to GitHub packages.

    git clone https://github.com/mamaar/Liftbridge.Net.git
  2. Install NPM packages
    dotnet build

Usage

var options = new ClientOptions {
    Brokers = new[] { new BrokerAddress { Host = "localhost", Port = 9292 }, }
};
var client = new ClientAsync(options);

var subject = "foo";
var streamName = "foo-stream";

// Create a stream on the NATS subject "foo"
await client.CreateStream(streamName, subject);

// Publish a message on the stream
var message = System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("hello, world");
await client.Publish(streamName, message, new MessageOptions { });

// Subscribe to the stream starting from the beginning
var subscription = client.Subscribe(streamName, new SubscriptionOptions
{
    Partition = 0,
    StartPosition = Proto.StartPosition.Earliest,
});
await foreach (var message in subscription)
{
    var messageString = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetString(message.Value);
    System.Console.WriteLine(messageString);
