Rollups Explorer

Coverage Status

Rollups Explorer is a web application that facilitates interacting with Cartesi applications. It includes the following features:

  • Connect to supported rollups-node (v2).
  • Send inputs to the listed applications.
  • Send deposits through available Cartesi Portals (e.g. EtherPortal, ERC721Portal, ERC20Portal, ERC1155SinglePortal, ERC1155BatchPortal)
  • List outputs generated by inputs sent to the Application of interest.
  • Execution of outputs (i.e., Vouchers).
  • Follow disputes for Cartesi applications that use PRT consensus.

Apps and Packages

  • apps/explorer: The web application that serves as client to connect to a rollups-node.
  • packages/eslint-config-cartesi: eslint configurations.
  • packages/tsconfig: A few tsconfig.jsons that is used throughout the monorepo.

Dependencies

  • NodeJS 24.19.0
  • pnpm 11.21.0 (package manager)

Enable Corepack to activate the repository's declared pnpm version

corepack enable

Package Management

This repository uses pnpm 11.21.0 with supply-chain protections enabled:

  • Dependency lifecycle/build scripts are blocked unless explicitly approved in allowBuilds in pnpm-workspace.yaml.
  • strictDepBuilds makes installs fail when a dependency requests an unapproved build script.
  • Dependencies must normally be at least seven days old (minimumReleaseAge: 10080, in minutes).
  • trustPolicy: no-downgrade rejects package versions whose publishing trust evidence is weaker than an earlier release.
  • Transitive dependencies cannot use git repositories or direct tarball URLs (blockExoticSubdeps: true).

Use the lockfile exactly as committed:

pnpm install --frozen-lockfile

Build

pnpm build --filter=explorer

Development

Run the following command:

pnpm dev --filter=explorer

To run storybook (optional)

pnpm storybook --filter=explorer

Note

To build all apps/ and packages/ you can remove the --filter=explorer from the commands above.

Unreleased rollups-ts packages

To develop/test the explorer against unreleased rollups-ts changes, build and pack them from a local checkout into vendor/ (defaults to client, react, rpc and codec):

pnpm dev:vendor:rollups-ts ../rollups-ts [package ...]

Point the dependencies at the tarballs in pnpm-workspace.yaml (overrides also cover transitive ones such as @cartesi/rpc), then run pnpm install:

overrides:
 "@cartesi/client": file:vendor/cartesi-client.tgz
 "@cartesi/react": file:vendor/cartesi-react.tgz
 "@cartesi/rpc": file:vendor/cartesi-rpc.tgz

Commit vendor/, pnpm-workspace.yaml and pnpm-lock.yaml in a dedicated commit.

Important

Vendored tarballs must not be merged. Once the rollups-ts packages are published, add a fixup to the vendoring commit that removes vendor/ and the overrides and bumps apps/explorer to the published versions, then autosquash it before merging.
