Hey @antonkulaga , thanks a lot for your contribution to the project. I had a thought for this and was wondering if we (for now) keep this on a dedicated branch (which then will also have a tag with graalvm on it? i.e `bde2020/spark-master:3.1.1-hadoop3.2-graalvm. Another issue is with the license graalvm community edition is shipped GPL. I'm not an expert on the license topic but it seems that Apache 2.0/MIT aren't really compatible with that, so I would also like to hear your (other) opinions on this topic. Best regards, |

Openjdk8 is old, slow and heap-heavy. Graalvm increases performance by 30-50% for Scala Spark applications.
