Jesus Christ warned that in the last days, false christs and false prophets would arise and deceive many (Matthew 24:23–24, KJV).
To understand deception, we must first understand the True Christ.
The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world 2000 years ago to save mankind from sin. Though eternal God, He took human form, died for our sins, rose again on the third day, and ascended into heaven.
He is:
- The Alpha and Omega
- The Creator and Sustainer of all things
- Prophet mighty in deed and word (Luke 24:19, KJV)
- The only Savior of mankind
Very soon, He will return for His believers before the 7-year Tribulation period begins.
A false christ is one who:
- Claims to be the savior
- Diverts attention from Jesus Christ
- Promotes false salvation
- Operates in deception
The Bible warns that many such deceivers will arise in the last days.
Scripture speaks of a coming global ruler referred to as:
- The “Man of Sin”
- The “Son of Perdition”
- The Antichrist
He will control the world through technology and enforce the mark known as “666” (Revelation 13). Without this mark, no one will be able to buy or sell.
This period will occur during the 7-year Tribulation, the most horrific time in human history.
Matthew 24:23–24 says:
“If any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders…”
Jesus clearly warns us not to be deceived.
The only protection from end-time deception is faith in Jesus Christ.
Now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
