Resource Converters

To process mined rock we provide several devices that could be included in your Miner ship.

First of all you'll need the Ore Concentrator that extracts metal ore from the rock, leaving silicate powder as a waste product. Then using the Mobile Smelter you can produce metal from the ore, but with some slag as a byproduct. The slag is totally useless, but if you're using MKS/OKS you may use the Substrate Mixer to mix silicates with the waste, producing substrate for biomass growth. Another useful function of the Substrate Mixer is to distillate waste water, producing waste and drinking water, so you can use waste water instead waste itself.
