Quant-Lab Portfolio Release Notes

Release Summary

This release establishes Quant-Lab as a public portfolio repository focused on two things:

  • quantitative research and strategy analysis capability
  • implementation discipline across architecture, documentation, and delivery

It is the first public cut curated to present the project as an Implementation PM case study rather than a private research workspace.

What Is Included

  • React + TypeScript frontend for multi-page analysis workflows
  • FastAPI backend with modular API and strategy boundaries
  • Pure quant calculation layer under core/
  • AI-assisted research and strategy drafting flows
  • Supporting documentation for architecture, API shape, install/recovery, and feature mapping
  • GitHub Actions workflow covering backend tests, frontend lint/build, and architectural guard scripts

Portfolio Signals

  • Bounded module design across core/, backend/strategy/, backend/modules/, and frontend/src/features/
  • Documentation artifacts that explain why the system is structured this way
  • Public-repo cleanup to exclude logs, caches, local datasets, and internal agent files
  • CI restored so the repository shows executable quality controls, not just source code

Validation Snapshot

  • Backend test suite passes locally
  • Frontend lint passes locally
  • Frontend production build passes locally
  • Core and route import guard scripts pass locally

Known Gaps

  • No public hosted demo is attached yet
  • Live trading execution is intentionally out of scope for this release
  • Large CSV market datasets remain excluded from version control

Next Portfolio Upgrades

  • Add a hosted demo or recorded walkthrough
  • Introduce release cadence and changelog discipline
  • Extend CI with deployment packaging and container validation
