Description

AI Powered WordPress course: https://learn.wordpress.org/course/ai-powered-wordpress/

One of our WPCredits mentors, Maikku, is a University professor and completed multiple courses on Learn before deciding which one to use with her students in the semester starting in mid Oct. She shared with me the following feedback about the AI Powered WordPress course. I plan to complete it myself to share first hand feedback and also have more students doing the same, but I'd love to share her feedback as well meanwhile.

I'm trying to complete “AI-Powered WordPress” . I'm only using free AI APIs because I can't assume that students would   be willing to pay for them if they were to complete this work themselves. At the moment, I can only manage about one task per day before running into one of the following problems: the response time between WordPress and the AI service is too long and the connection times out, the AI service is busy, or I've used up the free token allowance. Sometimes switching to a different AI model helps for a while, and sometimes it doesn't.
As a result, my progress is fairly slow. I'm concerned that students may not have the patience to deal with these kinds of issues. Do you know what the best approach would be, or is this simply the reality of working with free AI tools and services?

She specified that she has tried the Google API studio & OpenAI API. She has not tried it with Claude.

@jonathanbossenger thank you for looking into this. Please let me know if you need a new issue every time somebody review this course, or if we all should use this issue.
