Manual
REACH is a multi-effects reverb plugin that is specifically designed for use with synthetic sound sources. The plugin features a modular effects chain, four effects, two filters, and a powerful randomization function.
The reverb engine is the core of the REACH plugin, and provides users with high-quality reverb processing capabilities. The engine allows users to adjust various parameters such as room size, decay time, and diffusion for maximum control over the reverb sound.
The depth parameter controls the amount of modulation applied to the reverb signal. Users can increase or decrease the depth to create a more pronounced or subtle chorusing effect. The rate parameter, on the other hand, controls the speed of the modulation. By adjusting the rate, users can control how quickly the chorusing effect oscillates.
Ducking inside a reverb is a technique that allows you to create more space in your mix by reducing the level of the reverb when the dry signal is present. This can help to make the vocals or other elements of your mix more present and clear.
The ducking control typically works by setting a threshold level for the dry signal, above which the reverb will be reduced in volume. When the dry signal falls below this threshold, the reverb will return to its normal level. The amount of reduction can be adjusted with the ducking knob.
REACH features four distinct effects that can be applied to the reverb signal.
These effects are:
The degrade effect is a bitcrusher-style effect that allows users to add a lo-fi texture to the reverb sound.
The flanger effect adds a sweeping, swirling sound to the reverb signal, providing a unique and dynamic effect.
The chorus effect is a classic modulation effect that adds depth and dimension to the reverb sound.
The distortion effect provides users with the ability to add grit and edge to the reverb sound, creating a distorted and aggressive effect.
REACH also includes two filters that can be applied before or after the effects chain. These filters can be used to further shape the sound of the reverb.
The randomization function in REACH is a powerful tool that enables users to generate new and unique sounds with the click of a button. The function is particularly useful for experimentation and exploration.
- R -> randomize all knobs and effects
- K -> only randomize the knobs on the main interface
- D -> only randomize the effect knobs found in the effect customizer
- E -> only randomize the effects chain
The preset browser in REACH enables users to browse and manage presets with ease. The browser includes various filtering options and a search function, allowing users to find and select the perfect sound for their project.
You can access the preset browser by clicking the Preset name in the header. It comes with 4 pre made categories
- Creative
- Drums
- Synth
- Vocal
You can add a new preset by going to a category and click the + icon. You can add a name and the preset gets saved. To edit a preset click the 'pencil' icon, this will overwrite the current selected Preset. To delete a preset click the 'X' icon.
This workflow also works for the categories.
Click the menu icon in the top right corner to go the preset folder, letting you copy and share the presets with other users.
REACH provides users with a range of settings to customize the plugin experience. These settings include:
Users can choose between dark and light themes to suit their preference.
This can also be quickly
The plugin includes various animation settings, such as enable/disable animations, speed, and smoothness.
Users can customize the splash screen that appears when the plugin is launched.
Gain routing allows users to adjust the gain of the reverb and effects independently, providing greater control over the overall sound.
