The make-release job failed because I changed the machine to run it on. I changed the Xcode version in #750 and this lead to some fastlane error (e.g. here).
I've changed it back to use Xcode 13.4.0 in 7ac852f and then it worked.

Since the tag is already set, I'm going to do some manual changes on this release to make sure everything works as intended, including the insert-changelog-latest-in-main-if-needed lane, which is also failing

Since the insert-changelog-latest-in-main-if-needed job finally succeeded (here), I have undone all manual changes that I had to do to have it working.
