@danamlewis Would you be interested in testing this out and see if you're able to setup, run, and deploy this updated version of the app? This hasn't added any features, but it has updated it to operate with Python 3, Django 2, and Heroku's current recommendations for Django deployments. I think these were prerequisites before considering improvements! |

I'm opening this "work in progress" PR, with the intent to continue working on it. The is an intermediate state that works. The intention is to continue upgrades to Django 2.
