The extension uses a local dictionary for frequent BiliBili terms. If a term isn’t found, it sends the text to an online translation API (Google, Deepl, Microsoft). The page updates in real time — no reload required.
What is translated?
UI elements, video subtitles, comments, titles — basically everything visible on the page.
Why “access to all sites”?
It needs to read and modify BiliBili pages to replace text. Permission is only active on BiliBili domains.
Which translation services are used?
A built‑in dictionary plus public translation APIs (Google Translate, etc.). No setup needed.
Is data collected?
No personal data is ever collected. Only the text you translate is sent to the translation API; it isn’t stored or tracked.
Translators and developers are welcome. See CONTRIBUTION.md.
