For ANIME additions | ||
================ | ||
## TAGS | ||
The following is a guideline to tagging the entry: | ||
- To be tagged in square brackets: | ||
* `<Quality>` - Mostly [720p] or [1080p]. Other video-qualities may be there too. See notes #09. | ||
* `<Size>` - The same as mentioned in GENERAL addition rules. | ||
* `<Name>` - Name of anime | ||
* `<EpisodeNumber>` - Episode number, 2 digits. | ||
* `<Title>` - Title given for episode. Generally unavailable. NOT MANDATORY. | ||
* `<Audio>` - Applicable only for Non-JP audio or Dual-Audio. Details in notes #01. | ||
* `<link>` - Put shortened links from [http://animenewsnetwork.com/][ann]. Check notes #04. | ||
* `<Info/Source>` - Check notes #02 and #09. | ||
* `<SubGroups>` - Groups which has released the concerned episode(s) | ||
## FORMAT | ||
### For daily/weekly released anime/OVA | ||
> [<Quality>] [<Audio>] [<Info>] [<SubGroups>] <Name> - <EpisodeNumber> - <Title> [<link>] [<size>] <magnet> | ||
### For compilation of entire series. Batch additions for complete season(s), BD/DVD rips. | ||
> [<Source> <Quality>] [<Audio>] [<SubGroups>] [<No Of Ep>] <Name> [<link>] [<size>] <magnet> | ||
### For anime movies | ||
> [Movie] [<Source> <Quality>] [<Audio>] <Name> - <English Title> [<link>] [<size>] <magnet> | ||
For example: | ||
[720p] [HorribleSubs + Underwater] Kill la Kill - 17 [333 MiB + 362 MiB] | ||
[BDRip] [1080p] [Coalgirls] [24 Eps + OP + EDs] To Aru Majutsu no Index - S01 [ http://goo.gl/BJM53 ] [18.47 GiB] | ||
[720p] [Eng-Dub] [Cartoon-World] Pokemon the Series XY - 03, 04 [224 MiB + 217 MiB] | ||
## NOTES | ||
01. For non-JP audio or non-ENG subs, or others, use tags like: "[Hindi-Dub]", "[Eng-Dub]", "[Dual-Audio]" etc. You can use 3 character language codes too. | ||
02. The `<Info>` tag primarily means including one(or more) of OVA, OAD, ONA, Extra etc. | ||
03. A batch addition assumes that a complete season for a show, in a quality greater than that of a TVRip, is being added. This greater quality is usually BDRip; DVDRip for old shows. DO NOT add incomplete batches. | ||
04. `<link>` MUST be used for the first episode of a series and NOT for all episodes. | ||
05. 1072p ~ 1080p, 688p ~ 720p i.e. ROUND IT UP if the difference is less else use whatever is the quality. | ||
06. More than one `<SubGroup>` are allowed for same episode if; one of them was the first release and another is the recommended release group. The recommended release groups shall be decided by mods by collecting info from IRC/Forums, self reviews, proper discussions, feedback from other viewers etc. | ||
07. The ending episode of each season/series SHOULD BE marked by END. | ||
08. If the first release and recommended release are downloaded by different mods, the downloader of the recommended release will append magnet to the previous entry and editing the entry. The same applies to additions of different qualities of batch additions. In case of same qualities of different sizes/groups for batches, a single addition is made, and updated if required, but not appended. | ||
09. Unlike other groups, addition of best quality is preferred for anime. Hence, adding only 720p for daily series is ALLOWED. It can also consist of source; which is BDRip or DVDRip. No need to mention TV - it is accepted as default i.e. If no source mentioned means TVRips. | ||
10. As you can see above, the movie addition mentions Hi10p(10-bit encoding) in its quality. This is now unnecessary as almost all encoders have switched to 10-bit. Either way, while it is mostly irrelevant to mention whether encoding is 8 or 10-bit, it is of primary importance that 10-bit encoding is not decoded by GPUs. | ||
## TRIVIA | ||
* OVA - Means Original Video Anime. | ||
* OAV - Same as OVA; but is used by Western World. | ||
* OAD - It means Original Anime DVD/BD i.e. the video was a DVD/BD only release. | ||
* ONA - It means Original Net Anime. Similar to Webisodes. | ||

## TAGS | ||
The following is a guideline to tagging the entry: | ||
- To be tagged in square brackets: | ||
* `<Quality>` - Will be explained below. The ones from GENERAL do not apply here. | ||
* `<Size>` - The same as mentioned in GENERAL addition rules. | ||
* `<link>` - Preferably IMDb link, can add a wikipedia and/or official website link too. | ||
* `<language>` - The same as mentioned in GENERAL addition rules. | ||
* `<Title>` - The title of the documetary such as "Chasing Ice". | ||
* `<Genre>` - At least one genere. | ||
- To be tagged in round brackets: | ||
* `<Year>` - The year of release of the movie in YYYY format. | ||
## FORMAT | ||
The formats in this category is a hybrid of both TV and movie category. You can use any of them for adding in here. Keep in mind that you are not supposed to add them in movie or video category. | ||
## NOTES | ||
01. For a new documentary series or new documentary, you MUST give a link with the first episode. | ||
02. Give space after each parameter or info. | ||
03. IMDb/wikipedia links are mandatory. Do NOT use url shortners. | ||
04. Name your file/directory with same name as movie, such as: "The Avengers (2012).m2ts" | ||
05. ALWAYS use parenthesis for year. | ||
06. Use hyphen (`-`) to separate `<Name>`, <`Ep Num Season>` and `<Title>`; like: *Ancient Aliens - S03E08 - Aliens and the Lost Worlds* | ||

For Game additions | ||
================ | ||
## TAGS | ||
The following is a guideline to tagging the entry: | ||
- To be tagged in square brackets: | ||
* `<Size>` - The same as mentioned in GENERAL addition rules. Can have more than one in same entry. | ||
* `<Platform>` - One of PC, PS2, {S3, XBOX, PSP etc. This specifies the base platform for games. | ||
* `<OS>` - Applicable(and MANDATORY) only to "[PC]". Can be "[WIN]", "[Linux]" etc. | ||
* `<Filetype>` - Basic filetype for installation. Can be "ISO", "RAR", "ZIP", "EXE". Append [Folder] if it's shared with one of these filetypes | ||
* `<Genre>` - Gaming genres. Can be amongst RPG, MMORPG, FPS, Racing, Arcade etc. Tag each genre separately. | ||
* `<GroupName>` - The name of ggroup releasing the game. Most likely like "[SKIDROW]" etc. | ||
* `<Title>` - Game title. | ||
* `<link>` - Link to official website of the game(if any), otherwise, a wikipedia/IGN reviews link shortened. | ||
- To be tagged in round brackets: | ||
* `<Year>` - The year of release of game in YYYY format. | ||
## FORMAT | ||
The entry format for games is like this: | ||
> [<Platform/OS>] [<Filetype>] [<Genre>] [<GroupName>] <Title> (<Year>) [<link>] [<size>] <magnet> | ||
For example: | ||
[PS2] [ISO] [Action] [Third Person] [PAL-E] Red Dead Revolver (2004) [ http://goo.gl/01NN1 ] [2.44 GiB] | ||
[PC] [ISO] [Telltale Games] [Adventure] [FTS] The Wolf Among Us - Episode 2: Smoke And Mirrors (2014) [ http://goo.gl/NJu4mK ] [2.20 GiB] | ||
[Reshare] [PC] [ISO] [FPS] [Repack] [z10yded + SmartSteamEmu] Payday 2 v1.4.2 (2013)-With Autoupdater + LAN Co-Op Fix [ http://goo.gl/loEAqw ] [ http://goo.gl/LZN2Mq ] [4.11 GiB] | ||
## NOTES | ||
01. If you've personally checked the game, add "(CHECKED)" tag before `<link>`. | ||
02. If the game has no crack released for it, add `[NO crack]" tag before the `<Title>`. | ||
03. When adding a crack, just add magnet to previous entry and ask the original person to edit it. If the release groups are not the same, only then add your crack as separate entry. | ||
04. For the updates of a game, either tag using "[UPDATE]" or use like this: "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Reloaded - Update 9". | ||

For ALL additions | ||
================ | ||
TO BECOME A MODERATOR | ||
--------------------- | ||
To become a moderator on the hub, you need to have added at least 10 entries to the entries database over the last 3 months (A.K.A. current semester). You can ask other fellow moderators(to get list of moderatos, use "+help" with [BOT]Offliner). After becoming a moderator, you are required to follow these basic addition formats. | ||
The addition commands are listed in help file too. Here's a quick tour of them all: | ||
- `al` or `addlatest`: To add an `<entry>` to latest under category `<ctg>` with linked magnet `<magnet>`. | ||
+al <ctg> <entry> <magnet> | ||
- `ul` or `updatelatest`: To update an older entry (by yourself) to `<entry>`. | ||
+ul <id> <entry> | ||
- `dl` or `dellatest`: To remove entirely a row from latest database having the `id = <id>`. The associated magnets are removed too. | ||
+dl <id> | ||
- `am` or `addmagnet`: To add another <magnet> to database for an entry with `id = <id>`. | ||
+am <id> <magnet> | ||
- `em` or `editmagnet`: To edit a previous magnet with the newer <magnet> for the `magnetID = <mid>`. | ||
+em <mid> <magnet> | ||
- `rm` or `removemagnet`: To remove a single magnet with the `magnetID = <mid>`. | ||
+rm <mid> | ||
> Individual category rules are existent too. Take your own time to ***READ*** and ***REREAD*** them all. | ||
## RULES | ||
01. Sizes MUST be the last tag in your entry (**magnets are *NOT* tags**). Exception allowed only for `[DnS by <nick> ]` case. | ||
02. All tags must be enclosed in square brackets with a blank space between each of them. | ||
03. You must actively add at least 5 useful entries per month to remain as a moderator. Failing to do so will lead you to get demoderated. | ||
04. After demoderation, you can be re-assigned as moderator in the next semester only. | ||
05. If your addition is misspelt or wrong, you HAVE to edit it. Always listen to fellow moderators. | ||
06. Spamming database with entries (like adding 10 additions in 30 minutes) is again punishable. This is not a STRICT rule as long as your additions are to separate categories. | ||
07. Magnets are not to be closed in tags in any circumstance. | ||
08. Keeping the filename same as your entry is a good way to keep data sorted. | ||
09. Entries must not be ALL CAPS or ALL SMALL. The tags MUST BE either ALL CAPS or Sentence Case except link/size depending on the length. | ||
10. You are always able to delete your own additions. But, VIP+ have powers to delete your additions too. If the number of deletions not by you reaches 5, you will be demoderated automatically. | ||
11. If you want to add something which was once added previously, but is not anymore on DC++, you must tag the entry with "[ReShare]" and atleast 3 months must've passed for the previous entry. | ||
## SIZES | ||
Sizes MUST BE the LAST tag in your entry. Exception allowed ONLY FOR "[DnS by <nick> ]" case. The sizes must be mentioned in the following format: | ||
`[XXX MiB]` - For tagging an entry with XXX Mebibytes size. | ||
`[YYY.ZZ GiB]` - For tagging an entry with YYY.ZZ Gibibytes size. | ||
The sizes must be either whole nuber, or 2 digit decimal-precision floating numbers. So, tags like `[26.3 MB]` are wrong. Also, space before the unit is mandatary. Except other tags, the link and size tags must be suffixed to entries. | ||
## QUALITY | ||
The following quality tags are acceptable: | ||
- For Videos | ||
- [HDTV] - HDTV Rip in XviD ~352 or ~404 pixels (height). Sometimes, [SDTV] and [PDTV] are also allowed. | ||
- [DVDRip] - They are official DVDRip sized ~480p (height) | ||
- [720p] - 720 pixels height | ||
- [1080p] - 1080 pixels height | ||
- [BluRay] [720p] - Original BluRay for the entry is released | ||
- [m720p] - Mini MKV releases. | ||
- [m1080p] - Mini MKV Widescreen releases. | ||
There are other tags in use too, like [WEB-DL] etc. If something is [WEB-DL] then generally it is official iTunes released stuff, and hence, can be tagged "[BRRip] [720p]" or "[BluRay] [720p]". | ||
- For Audio | ||
- [FLAC] - Lossless Audio Codecs. (No need to mention bit-rates with this tag) | ||
- [MP3] - Usual for MP3 files. You **SHOULD** include bit-rates with them | ||
- [XXX kBps] - This is for tagging XXX bitrates in Kilobytes/s. XXX should be a whole number and must be followed by a blank space. | ||
- For Games and Apps | ||
- [PC] - This implies a PC platform game/app. It can be skipped by default. | ||
- [WIN] - This means a Windows compatible game/app. Can be skipped; but atleast one of [PC] or [WIN] must be mentioned. | ||
- [ISO] - File container/storage type. Explained with details in related categories. | ||
## LINKS | ||
The links should be added with a **MANDATORY `http://`** prepended to them. The useful websites for each categories have been mentioned in respective category rules. All links MUST be tagged with pre and post-appended blank space. Tags like `[http://google.co.in]` is not acceptable. They must look like `[ http://google.co.in ]`. | ||
You can add multiple SHORT links to same entry. Only the link and size tags are to be suffixed to entries. The URL shorteners to be used are: | ||
* [http://goo.gl][goo] | ||
* [http://bit.ly][bit] | ||
* [http://tinyurl.com][tiny]. | ||
## MAGNETS | ||
Magnets are the newest of feature included for entries. Hence, not all entries have a magnet associated to them. Your entries shall extract magnet from the command itself. But, you MUST NOT put the magnets inside tags or edit the magnets out to the smallest of part (like TTH). Just put the entire magnet in thecommand, and let our hard-worked code do some magic? | ||
The point of latest is to serve primarily as a flag to determine whether something is available on the hub or not, and secondarily as a database. With that in mind, try to use your common sense and not clutter up additions. Enough information, but not too much information, and leave out the obvious. Assume a user will use his head a bit if in doubt, and do so yourself too. | ||
## COUNTRY & LANGUAGE | ||
The country and language tags are optional for USA released content. But they are necessary for other additions. Please use the ISO-639-2 list ([Wiki][iso-wiki] or [Library of Congress][iso-loc]) for the 3 character country and language codes. Exceptional cases (if and when applicable) will be described as per category rules. | ||
To sum it all up, have fun. Do take some time to READ and REREAD the rules. For any errors encountered; ask directly in ***#[ModzChat]*** chatroom. | ||

For Movie additions | ||
================ | ||
## TAGS | ||
The following is a guideline to tagging the entry: | ||
- To be tagged in square brackets: | ||
* `<Quality>` - Will be explained below. The ones from GENERAL do not apply here. | ||
* `<Size>` - The same as mentioned in GENERAL addition rules. | ||
* `<link>` - Preferably IMDb link, can add a wikipedia and/or official website link too. | ||
* `<language>` - The same as mentioned in GENERAL addition rules. | ||
* `<Name>` - The name of the movie such as "The Shawshank Redemption". | ||
* `<Genre>` - At least one genere. | ||
* `<Audio>` - Same as language. use a "-" to separate dual-audio; like `[HIN-ENG]` | ||
- To be tagged in round brackets: | ||
* `<Year>` - The year of release of the movie in YYYY format. | ||
## FORMAT | ||
The following format is always followed for all entries in movie categories. Movies with *DVDRip* quality are to be added under sdmovie category. The allowed exceptions is for non-English movies or movies released before 1960s. | ||
> [<Quality>] [<Language>] [<Audio>] [<Genre>] <Name> (<Year>) [<link>] [<size>] <magnet> | ||
For example: | ||
[BluRay m720p] [AUS] [Action] [Crime] [Drama] Mystery Road (2013) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2236054/ ] [797 MiB] | ||
[BluRay 720p] [Drama] [Fantasy] Crimson Winter (2013) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2014198/ ] [5.00 GiB] | ||
[BluRay m720p] [FRE] [Drama] [Romance] Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2278871/ ] [1.22 GiB] | ||
`<Language>` and `<Audio>` tags can be skipped for **ENG** language and audio. All other cases need to be mentioned. English movies with dual-audio MUST have the `<Audio>` tag. | ||
## NOTES | ||
01. AT MOST 2 entries for the same movie are allowed in this category. One is for HDRips (720p/1080p and above) and another for mini-MKV (m720p/m1080p etc.). All other magnets can be linked to same ID(As explained in general rules) and the original entry can be updated. Ask the actual moderator to edit the entry for you. | ||
02. Give spaces after each parameter or info or tag. The genres should each be tagged separately like "[Action] [Thriller]" and NOT "[Action/Thriller]". | ||
03. IMDb links are mandatory. Do NOT use url shortners for IMDb links. If no IMDb link can be found, search for wikipedia page, failing which you can add it without link. | ||
04. Name your file/directory with same name as movie, such as: "The Avengers (2012).m2ts" | ||
05. ALWAYS use parenthesis for year. | ||
05. Do NOT add m720ps of WEB-DL versions. The BluRays are released soon, add an m720p version of that instead. | ||
06. Do NOT add DVDRips if HD versions (WEB-DLs or Blurays) are already added. Adding DVDRips for non-english movies to this category is acceptable if they were released 2 or more years ago. | ||
07. For Bollywood releases, add BluRay m720p to the same entry as BluRay 720p. |
Oops, something went wrong.
