View docs locally

To check your changes locally, it is advised to use a virtual environment such as venv.

Create a virtual environment with:

python -m venv .venv

Then activate it with:

• Linux/macOS:

  source .venv/bin/activate

• Windows (PowerShell):

  Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope CurrentUser -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
  .venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1

  If PowerShell script execution is blocked, setting the policy as shown above usually fixes it. If you already have Bash (for example via WSL or Git Bash), using Bash is often easier.
• Windows (Command Prompt):

  .venv\Scripts\activate.bat

Install the dependencies with:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Start the local server with:

mkdocs serve

The documentation will then be available at http://127.0.0.1:8000/badge_2026/
