Since this is already a active addition in the open PR #6, can we close this? |

My bad should have followed branch instructions. But please merge the best branch to main now. There is no reason to add this one extra piece of friction. It is ok if main is still imperfect since this is a new tool with 1-2 active users. |

The comment on line 83 was inaccurate so tar will just fail to create the archive in a directory without an existing archive dir like the clean repo
