Devices to bring on the day:

  1. Laptop (especially for day 1, a tablet won’t be enough)
    1. For 3D, using a mouse will be much better than your trackpad
  2. Digital camera. Feel free to bring a good camera if you have one, but a tablet or smartphone will also be just fine
    1. Including a physical cable to transfer photographs to your laptop
    2. If you use an iPhone/iPad as your camera, make sure you know how to download images as JPG files

Software to install in advance:

  1. Oxygen XML Editor (download) (30-day free trial)
    1. If you prefer, you may instead use an open source XML editor such as Visual Studio Code, with the extensions XML (XML Language Support by Red Hat) and tei-publisher-vscode (Visual Studio Code extension to support TEI editing) installed. You may need to restart your computer after installing plugins.
    2. For the EpiDoc exercises: download the EpiDoc Template (right-click on the link and "save link as…")
  2. Agisoft Metashape Pro (download) (activate 30-day free trial [not demo] on installation)
  3. Relight (download) (instructions)
    1. Note that your computer may not recognise the software—the installation instructions from the above link provide guidance on how to bypass these warnings.
