The AO Chat project is an open-source plugin written in Java that adds improved chat capabilities to the basic chat system of the Spout server (spout.org).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This repository is used as a backup repository and should NOT be considered up to date IMPORTANT NOTE: see https:/bitbucket.org/pcharbon/aochat for the up-to-date source code releases

Features (completed or planned) include the following:

• Chat channels
• Chat windows
• Chat filters per window
• Cross-server chat
• Global network channels (using IRC protocol as a bridge)
