* zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
* navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
* navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
* listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most

## How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
* if you disable JavaScript in your browser, the alert to tell you that you will soon be signed out due to inactivity does not appear
* our sitemap includes only the pages that are not part of the training modules - this is because once you have started a module, you will need to work through each page in order
## Feedback and contact information
If you need information on this website in a different format like
accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille, email <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>.
We'll consider your request and get back to you in 10 days.
## Reporting accessibility problems with this website
We're always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you

## Technical information about this website's accessibility
The Department for Education is committed to making its websites accessible,
in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile
Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
## Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the WCAG version 2.1 AA standard,
due to the following non-compliances.
### Non-accessible content
The content is non-accessible for the following reason(s):
#### Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
1. Some pages cannot be found through more than one type of navigation. This does not meet <a href="https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/multiple-ways" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">
WCAG version 2.1 AA - 2.4.5 Multiple ways (opens in new tab)</a>.
2. The alert to tell you that you will soon be signed out due to inactivity needs JavaScript to appear. If JavaScript is turned off, the alert does not appear. This does not meet <a href="https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/time-limits-required-behaviors.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">WCAG version 2.1 A - 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable (opens in new tab)</a>.
## What we're doing to improve accessibility
We have asked <a href="https://www.shawtrust.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Shaw Trust (opens in new tab)</a> to complete a further acccessibility audit.
We are continually monitoring how users access and move around the website, including the navigation in each module.
## Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 24 November 2022.
This website was last tested on 22 November 2022. The test was carried out by members of the team, following an accessibility audit by <a href="https://www.shawtrust.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Shaw Trust (opens in new tab)</a>.
For our accessibility audit, Shaw Trust completed automated testing of the website and manual testing of pages representing each type of content or functionality.
