Bitnet Desktop Node v1.1.2
Bitnet Desktop Node 1.1.2
- Fixed an issue where changes to the sync mode were not being properly saved by the software, and kept always resetting to snapsync mode
- Fixed a permissions issue with the setup installation mode, where the Bitnet.exe executable did not run with administrative permissions by default, making it unable to save settings' changes and perform other necessary tasks for the functioning of the software.
Hot Fix Zip
If you don't want to download and reinstall the entire software, you can download the Win64_Bitnet-Desktop-Node_HOTFIX_v1.1.2.zip and extract the contents of the zip file into your Desktop Node's main folder, replacing Bitnet.exe and version.ini with the new and updated 1.1.2 version. The hotfix will only work with versions 1.1.0 and 1.1.1. If you are using an older version, please download the full software.
Developers Node: We are aware of issues relating to the built-in miner's compatibility with newer GPU models, and will be working on replacing the the miner - which currently runs on Ethminer - with a mode modern and up to date mining codebase.
Thanks to davidh (exploreblock) on Discord for reporting these issues.

Bitnet Desktop Node v1.1.0
Welcome to the major release of Bitnet Desktop Node. This update brings you the latest features, optimizations, and security upgrades, building upon Bitnet Core v0.0.4b.
Easy Setup
The new interface enables changing basic and advanced node options with just a few clicks, including your syncmode (Archive, FullSync, or SnapSync), your node's coinbase, mining options and more.
Main Features and Updates
- Core Engine: Now operating on Bitnet Core v0.0.4b.
- GPU Miner Interface: Support for custom flags and parameters has been added.
- Settings Engine: The new settings engine translates most CLI commands into easy-to-understand GUI options.
- Bootnodes Manager: In-app control over bootnode parameters is now available.
- DBLS Support: Includes automatic bootnodes list updates. More details provided below.
- Script Improvements: Security and sophistication of most scripts have been enhanced.
Default Bootnodes List Server (DBLS)
Introducing DBLS—a groundbreaking way to manage your node's bootnodes list. With DBLS, users can now deploy their own server to define static enodes to which their local nodes will connect by default. This feature enables the creation of bootnode clusters, thereby strengthening the network's decentralization and resilience.
For Linux and MacOS Users
The GUI version for MacOS and Linux in Python is currently under active development. While our team of developers is skilled, implementing a fully-featured GUI version for these platforms is taking additional time. We are close to releasing a simplified, limited-feature version for MacOS and Linux users. Contributions to these versions are highly appreciated and guidelines for contributing can be found in the main repository of the Bitnet Desktop Node.
